Gunplay Airs Out Rick Ross, Claims Industry Betrayal & Lost Opportunities

Once considered one of Rick Ross’ most loyal soldiers, Gunplay now says the support never came back his way.

So, Gunplay is fuming over the fact that nobody held his hand during his career. Is this a surprise? Why is he coming at big boss Ricky Rozay now?

His music is so-so and he has very little character. He claims that he had to sell his publishing upfront and only received $25,000 for it.

In this time of uncertainty and weird deals, he had a decent one. He was part of the Maybach Music empire. He was popping! But the gravy train stopped. When the deposits ceased to come in, that’s when he started taking shots at the Biggest Boss.

For him to dump on the man who put him on, gave him shine, and a label home label home is disgraceful. He should’ve taken better care of his finances and tightened up his lyrics.

Instead, he’s whining that Ross did him dirty. He stated that when it “came time for Gunplay…crickets.”

That’s the nature of the game. No one's going to hand you a meal. You’ve gotta cook. There’s no excuse for Gunplay’s pisspoor performance and his inability to capture the minds of those who listen to rap music.

Ross is sitting on acres because he put in the work and hustled his way up the hip hop ladder. Carried by ambition and drive, he propelled into the mainstream and reaped the benefits of pushing his own work.

Gunplay is kvetching because he’s broke, busted and disgusted. Those bills are piling up and he has nowhere to go with his career.

With it on standstill he is in a position to badmouth Maybach Music and its legendary owner.

For him to speak ill of someone that jumpstarted his career and gave him opportunity after opportunity to shine is disheartening. It shows a lack of moral fiber and a disdain for the entrepreneurial spirit.

Gunplay’s like the proletariat who cries about the Capitalist who has earned his way through life.

Gunplay is an example of the little kid who not only takes his ball and runs home but blabs to people on the way that the big kid who put him on his team disrespected him.

In reality, Gunplay is nothing but a punk who couldn’t understand the dynamics of the business. He couldn’t figure out his publishing so he says he got a bad deal.

C’mon. I think that Ross should never be friends with Gunplay again. He’s too far gone. There’s no room at the table for him because he tossed stones at the boss. He’s no Tony Yayo. No matter what, you play your position as a lieutenant or captain and let the general take over the game. That’s the cost that Gunplay is paying now. He’s positioned himself to bring the noise to Ross because he’s foundering while the latter is flourishing.

Do you think Rick Ross is mad? He’s selling alcohol and soaps for cars. He has car shows. Gunplay has…no clue. He’d rather badmouth Ross than put in the time to thrive in this business.

It's free for all and you have to make your own moves if you wish to be successful. In the time that Gunplay argued against his former friend and label boss, he could have been investing into autonomous cars or chip manufacturing companies. Why didn’t he think of that? Why didn’t he take his talents to another level? He blamed everyone else but himself. That's bad for business.

If he wants to do the right thing, he ought to step his game up and found his own label. That would put a dent in his disgust and distaste for the man who gave him a chance.
