My Time is Sacred

I don't like anybody wasting it

Human life is brief,

for some, it is even shorter.

Everybody deserves

to dance to their own tune,

justify their own time.

So, when people demand my time

without giving back its value,

that angers me,

just like its annoyed philosopher Nietzsche.

Each minute is precious,

I treat it sacred.

Today I stepped out

with family.

It was amusement,

not for work or earning.

So, when I came back,

I was restless to get back to work.

I gave milk and snacks to the kids,

worked a little in the garden,

made tea for myself and spouse.

Then I posted content in Facebook groups

where I earn few cents.

After that, submitted in Medium,

drafts were ready earlier.

Then I sat down

to write for Vocal Media.

When the phone is charged enough,

I will paint with full focus,

using references from my photo album,

they will go to my Etsy.

Then I will arrange dinner.

Afterwards, will read some Kindle books.

until my eyelids feel heavy.

So, think twice

before asking for my time,

because my time is irreplaceable,

and it's not to be dishonored.

You can evaluate,

if yours is being used well,

remorse will not bring it back.
