Earth (location):
-planet/home
-resource/sanctuary
-salt-brine/juniper peaks
-first: literary purple/beat of music/lovers’ dance.
-etc.
Nothing poetic: bleak reading
of a still bleaker plight.
Poem (piece of writing):
-creative endeavor of songlike speech
-structured emotional evocation
-versed experience
-sensational reading
-etc.
Rhythmless, alarmist sound.
Straightforward labeling
No symbolism profound enough to convey:
We are killing the Earth.
Etcetera.
