The Comforting Tsunami of Love
For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.
I was a crumbling desert
And You are a tsunami of love.
Your flood filled my world
Greenery sprang up from my earth.
Ferns and trees
Grass and leaves
And for the first time in my life
I bear fruit to eat.
...
I was a void; a black hole in the universe
Black with the bitterness of my soul.
You are honey straight from the hive
And You are light straight from Heaven.
You filled my night sky with twinkling stars
And I learned I didn't need to be the brightest,
I just needed to shine.
Light and light and more light.
I never knew I could inhabit a golden sky.
...
I was a muddy stream trickling down from an arid mountain.
You are rain sent by God.
Thunder and lightning crashed
The clouds swarmed
The sea clapped and said, "Get her!"
So Your love and wisdom poured down.
You washed away what was murky.
You have given me clarity.
...
I was a pile of dry bones in the valley.
You are the breath of life.
Revive me, Sustain me, never let me go.
For Your love is better than wine.
Your love is better than life.
I give You all the glory,
Forever.
