The Minute We Met

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 4 hours ago 1 min read

Verse 1

I felt you before you spoke,

Like a truth I could not forget.

One glance and the world fell open,

My heart said, "This one isn’t a threat."

Your smile was like a beacon shined toward me,

Like a spark that I can’t forget.

One look and the world fell quiet—

I knew it the minute we met.

Chorus

’Cause our souls recognized each other,

No fear, no second guess.

Two sparks feeding the same fire,

Two hearts falling and it was effortless.

I swear I had known you always,

No distance, no regret.

We were already woven together

From the minute, the minute we met.

Verse 2

Your eyes felt like a doorway

To a place I’d been long ago.

Your touch was a quiet promise,

Soft, but it told me so.

And standing there in the half‑light,

My fate and your silhouette—

I knew I was home forever

From the minute, the minute we met.

Chorus

’Cause our souls recognized each other,

No fear, no second guess.

Two sparks feeding the same fire,

Two hearts falling and it was effortless.

I swear I had known you always,

No distance, no regret.

We were already woven together

From the minute, the minute we met.

Bridge

Maybe love is a memory returning,

Maybe time just clears the way.

All I know is the second I saw you,

My whole life shifted into place that day.

Final Chorus

’Cause our souls recognized each other,

No fear, no second guess.

Two sparks feeding the same fire,

Two hearts falling and it was effortless.

I swear I had known you always,

No distance, no regret.

We were already woven together

From the minute, the minute we met.
