A Wedding Toast
Good evening, everyone! I wanted to let the bride know first that I cleared it with the groom, and he agreed that I should sleep with you guys on your wedding night. After all, that is what you did on my wedding night. Because you told everyone you slept in the middle, I think it's only fair. Your groom agreed. I know some of you have heard the story about how this happened. And perhaps have heard it many times over the years. Since it is rumored that you are pregnant, it's not like it is your first night together.

It's Raining, It's Snowing
Author's Note: It really is snowing out there right now. It is the time of year when we aren't sure what we will see. Almost all of our snow on the fields was gone. We are thinking of spring, when it snows. The title is similar to what we would sing when it was raining when I was growing up. The correct words are, "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring." Based on a story from many years ago about an old man who bumps his head and can't get up in the morning.

In May, I Will Have Written And Read On Vocal Media For Five Years
There are some extremely good writers on this site! It has been almost five years since I started in May 2021 on Vocal, and I continue to feel like a beginner. I was a new writer, then, even though I was an older woman.

What It Means To Be A Hockey Mom
First of all, hockey moms watch hockey! I was watching the local team in the playoffs today. They looked good in the beginning, and then there was a tie, and they went into overtime. Anyone's game! They lost to a team that hadn't been to the playoffs for over forty years!

St. Patrick's Day
When I was a child, I really thought our family was Irish. We always celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a chocolate cake with green frosting, and it was pretty common to wear green and to have corned beef, cabbage, and boiled potatoes for dinner that day.
