Scream Teens: Ranking The Best Characters From Wes Craven's Scream Franchise
On December 20, 1996, Wes Craven's slasher reinvention Scream opened to mixed success. 20 years later, the original has gone on to be a cult favorite, while the three sequel films spanned the next 15 years as we kept coming back for more of the gore -- but the story doesn't end there. MTV then picked up its own TV series of the idea in 2015, which continues with a third season in 2017. That is two decades of body counts and filleted actors to wade through!

2015's 15 Second Horror Challenge Asked "Can I Scare YOU In 15 Seconds!?"
What can you actually achieve in 15 seconds? Not a lot (dirty minds)... However in October, the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge invited filmmakers from around the globe to get together and to frighten the bejezus out of YOU with an anthology batch of unrelated 15 second horror micro shorts.

The Ghost On The Cell: 20 Facts About Wes Craven's 'Scream' You Need To Survive!
"What's your favorite scary movie?" That's one pop quiz no one wants to find themselves in, but one of cinema's most infamous quotes. It has been 20 years since Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson brought Scream to our screens, and we have been "screaming" for more ever since. Held up as one of cinema's modern horror greats, Scream was original, intelligent, and delivered that gut-slashing "two killers twist."

Ridley Scott's on Another Alien's Trail in Low-Budget Horror 'Phoenix Forgotten'
In an endless sea of found footage movies clogging up our DVD charts it's refreshing to actually see one that is not only entertaining but has an actual budget behind it. If you're the sort of person who hates this sub-genre then my latest review for Phoenix Forgotten is probably not going to make you run out to buy this but you never know. The fact that Phoenix is produced by Ridley Scott himself may change your mind but who knows, let's delve a little deeper into this creepy Alien based story.

Stephen King's 'Cell' Premieres at Fright-Fest in the U.K.
Stephen King's latest adaptation CELL is set to premiere today on the BIG screen as part of the Horror Channel's Frightfest event here in the U.K. This is fantastic news for King fans as after more than 2 years of conflicting reports we're finally getting to see it. This, according to rumor, is down to studio interference that has held Cell back from debuting and left many (including the Fright-fest organizers) believing the film wouldn't get an official cinema release. Thankfully one of the stars of Cell kept fans up to date earlier in the year:

Remember the good old days when you used to stroll down to the video rental store and spend hours perusing the shelves looking for the right movie to take home that night?. I miss those times of 'discovering' new horror movies this way, today it's all pages and pages of descriptions plastered across Netflix or some such streaming site. More convenient sure but some of the magic has been lost forever...
