- Shoutout a Vocal creator you recommend reading. Include the URL of a writer or story that inspired you and why.

A More Human Vocal
When we launched Vocal nearly a decade ago, the world was a very different place. LLMs did not exist, and stories were created one at a time by people sitting down to write, revise, and share something personal. Many of our assumptions about publishing, trust, and participation were built for a world where effort and output were inseparable.

Vocal will not consider anything I write for a TS or Challenge win. I donāt know why everyone likes my work except vocal and I do not use AI so they give the same handful top story wins and treat my work as invisable it hurts because I know my works ok

I write investigative essays about human behavior, ethics, and the systems that shape how harm is tolerated or challenged in society. My background is in forensic behavioral assessment and trauma-informed work, so many of my pieces examine psychological dynamics, animal advocacy, and the behavioral patterns behind cruelty, empathy, and accountability.
