Phaedra had logged in. She found herself in a bland white virtual reality room. For her online avatar, Phaedra had chosen a slim black haired ebony skinned woman, beautiful and alluring. She rather liked the feel of her VR surrogate, her silk dress draped lazily over her and rustled in the artificial air. Overhead, a sign stated, "Ready in twelve seconds.” Phaedra began to wonder how the experience was going to be.

Progressive Quantum Leaps

Classic Literature Takes A Tech Turn

Out of This World Science TED Talks
As Bill Nye (who needs to make TED Talks) once told us, "Science rules!" Everything runs on science, for it programs the universe around us to follow a set order and logic. But what if there are rules and concepts that we do not yet understand? What if, at the bottom of the ocean and the apex of existence, there are things so other-worldly that they sound as though they emerged straight from a phantasmic dreamscape? Too crazy to be real. Too insane. But they are. The ordinary person may go mad trying to wrap their mind around these mind-screwy concepts and ideas. But rest assured; your existential dread and horror need not overwhelm you. There are experts willing to explain it all. These TED Talks put the strangest science into focus, and explain that, yes, while our universe is a weird place, it is not beyond our understanding.

The history of female scientists is filled with stories of perseverance, ingenuity, and hard work. When it comes to the field of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), many people are concerned regarding the gender gap. Even now, everyone is still trying their best to lessen the gap and allow more women to contribute to the STEM field. Regardless of this issue, one cannot deny the fact that female scientists have always done much for the further discovery and betterment of the world.

Telepathy and Quantum Physics
Telepathy is one of the ten magical gifts I have been told by several medicine men and women that we will soon be capable of receiving. Since we are all at different stages in our evolutionary process, I believe we will each be able to receive telepathy only after we have evolved to the point we are capable of practicing it with love and benevolence. Even so, every gift can also become a curse. Our gifts can be double-edged swords we can either use to advance our species or to destroy it. Life is far more precarious than most of us are aware and we must be vigilant to defend its dignity and sanctity.

Universe Hunting
A big part of collecting science fiction novels is the thrill of the hunt. The fact that the books aren't always easy to find adds a game element to discovering and buying them. It can be quite satisfying, randomly stumbling upon a longed for publication, on sale for next to nothing. I still can't get over how books are practically given away these days. When I look at my bookshelves, sometimes I have to do a double take, because it's not just pages on those shelves, but authors' blood.
